Carlos, I'm not sure where to begin, but I'll try my best starting here. From the moment we met, we secured a relationship most brides don't get the privilege to experience with their vendors. I saw your work and I deeply admired it, but it was your passion to portray the heart of such an important day that assured me I was in the right hands. From the day I signed my contract with you, I felt you had started brainstorming ideas -- how to make this event stand out and how to incorporate our passion of food into it. You were creative, you were patient, you were excited. Most importantly, I felt secure knowing that the memories I would come away with on my wedding day would be translated into the photographs. I worked on the details of my wedding for months, stressing over every tiny aspect. They say the day a person gets married is one of the most important days of their lives. They are right, but a wedding is just that - it's one day. In the days after my honeymoon, it all settled in, it was over. However, I knew that your photographs would let me live that day over-and-over again for the rest of my life. The dramatic images of Jon and I hold a special place in my heart. The drastic contrast levels combined with the feminine details of my dress and the simple lines of Jon's tux are just breathtaking. Oh my dress! While I will never where it again, I had the time of my life twirling around for you. It's cliche, but I felt like a princess. Jon and I fell in love in DC and it was so important to us that we celebrated our marriage in a place where we felt comfortable, where we as a couple were better. Thank you so much for traveling down there for us to help make that come true. There's no doubt that the walls in our home will be filled with many photographs from that day. Each time I look at them, I'll be reminded of you and the friendship we started from this happy event! . . . You transformed lifeless, formal wedding portraits into a lively art form that brought us back to the cool concrete columns of the Lincoln Memorial. All our love and gratitude, Sarah and Jon Carlos, I'm sitting here in the computer lab at school sneaking peeks of the BEAUTIFUL photos that you created for us. I am speechless. I haven't even made it to the second page. You are so, so amazing. I can't wait to go home and sit down with Bert and reminisce about our wonderful day. Already, I feel like I'm back in time. Your work is the one thing that remains from that special day and we'll forever treasure these moments that you've captured in time! Thanks so much Carlos. We'll be sure to let you know all the gushy details of how in love we are with the pictures as soon as we go through all of them! Thanks so much Carlos!!!! Danielle ------------ Querido Carlos, I'm back at work today, hardly trying to get stuff done as I'm constantly having flashbacks and I'm trying to sort out all of the intense emotions from the wedding... I wanted to sincerely thank you for making it so easy and fun for us. Yesterday Danielle and I were remembering how good of a time we had walking around Philadelphia looking for places to shoot: sitting at the table of the cafe with the really cool red lighting, stopping traffic to take pictures of her spinning near the "No U-Turn" sign, etc. And then there was the cigar smoking session with all of the guys. It was just so much fun and so cool working with you! I cannot wait to get the first cliches and see how everything turned out, but given all the fun we had and all of the talent you've proved by putting us in great places and situations, I'm more than confident that the result is going to be simply amazing. Abrasos, Bertrand. --------------- QUE VIVA CARLOS!!! Words cannot describe what I was feeling when I was looking at the slide show...:) Carlos, son las fotos mas hermosas que he visto.
